 Russell C. Janecka, CIC, LUTCF

In 1986, Russell took the reigns of his father's then ten-year-old agency. Through the years he has developed the business and introduced cutting edge technology. His objective is to provide a high-tech AND high-service agency. His business philosophy is to help clients understand and appreciate their insurance purchases so that they value the decisions they've made.

Russell received his business education through Victoria College and then through the University of Maryland while serving in the US Air Force, in which he served his country overseas in Berlin Germany. He is educated and licensed as a Multi-line and a Life insurance Agent. In 1990 he received the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow designation and in 1996, obtained the Certified Insurance Counselor designation, which he updates annually through continuing education seminars each year.

He is also proud to serve as an elected member of the Board of Directors for Germania Farm Mutual and has served on its subsidiary boards for several years. He is chairman of the board's Governance Committee.

Mr. Janecka is active in the Greater Victoria Area Chamber of Commerce. He has served on several committees, is a past member of the board of directors as well as past Chairman of the Board in 1999.

Some of his other civic activities include:

  • Serving as a member of the City Planning Commission of Victoria since 1995. Offering assistance in the long range planning of Victoria. He proudly invites you to take a look at our City's Comprehensive Plan.(5.8megs)  (Adobe Acrobat required).
  • He is a  Board member, webmaster and performer! with the Victoria Ballet Theatre.
  • Past board member and classroom volunteer with Junior Achievement of Victoria.
  • He has volunteered as webmaster for the Victoria Catholic Diocese and for his church, Holy Family of Victoria, as well as the Victoria Ballet Theatre.
  • Member of the board of directors for Victoria County United Way.
  • He is involved in many other civic and church activities but mostly enjoys spending time with his wife, Gail, and three children, Robert, Julie and Kevin. When he can find the time, he enjoys motorcycle riding, and flying radio controlled airplanes and helicopters.

Jill Friedel - Agent

 
Jill has been with the agency since 1986. Her years of experience have helped her develop a depth in understanding the needs people present to her in their insurance matters. She is always willing to assist clients with their questions and concerns. 

Jill is the agency manager - maintaining the agency records, files, and bookkeeping. Jill's ongoing education in personal lines enables her to conscientiously recommend the proper coverage needed for her clientele.

Jill enjoys serving the community especially in her boys lives through assisting in their schools and working as a team mom, president and treasurer of the basketball booster club.  She is also an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Victoria.

  

Leticia Gonzales, ACSR
 
"Letie" has been with JIA since 1992. As an insurance solicitor, she works hard at obtaining the best value for her customers when she seeks to place their insurance.  Si es necessario se Habla Espaņol!  

Since November 2000, Letie has maintained an Accredited Customer Service Representative designation through her continuing educational insurance studies.

In addition to serving people through our office, she enjoys serving as the assistant director of Christian Education and Sunday School Teacher for Jerusalem Family Praise Center, and serves as assistant director of the National Sunday School department of the UPLCII. Letie is also ordained as a Minister of her church. We are very proud of her!

  

Barbara Etlinger

Barbara joined our agency in 2004 with many years of experience in loan servicing from First Capital Bank. Prior to that she had 12 years of experience in a local insurance agency. Her experiences have taught her how to be sensitive to client's needs in securing their financial future.

She has been an active part of the community since 1976 and has family in the Moulton, Shiner and Hallettsville areas of Texas.

She belongs to Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, enjoys reading, family and travel. Come on by for a visit and a quote on your coverage, she's ready to serve you.
